Galatians

Keep one foot in the water

Steven Dollenberg · 15 October 2023

Galatians is often like a good marinade, slowly transforming hard hearts to soft, gospel centred hearts. Join us as we gaze on the wonder of the gospel and trust in the life changing power of grace.

Fear of man

Rory Dyer · 22 October 2023

When Peter came to Antioch, I opposed him to his face, because he was clearly in the wrong. Before certain men came from James, he used to eat with the Gentiles. But when they arrived, he began to draw back and separate himself from the Gentiles because he was afraid of those who belonged to the circumcision group.

Justification by Faith

Steven Dollenberg · 29 October 2023

For I know that I am not justified by works, but by faith in Jesus Christ, who loved me and gave himself for me.

Credited Righteousness

Rory Dyer · 12 November 2023

Standing

Rory Dyer · 19 November 2023

Consider Abraham: “He believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness.” Understand, then, that those who believe are children of Abraham.

Yet so close

Christian Mulol · 26 November 2023

Now that faith has come, we are no longer under the supervision of the law. You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus.

No Sweat

Greg Haswell · 5 December 2023

For what the law was powerless to do because it was weakened by the flesh, God did by sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh to be a sin offering. And so he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fully met in us

My dear children

Steven Dollenberg · 10 December 2023

My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you, how I wish I could be with you now and change my tone, because I am perplexed about you!

Blessing in Suffering

Rory Dyer · 17 December 2023

We also rejoice in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.

The Power of the Gospel

Steven Dollenberg · 18 February 2024

For through the law I died to the law so that I might live for God. I have been crucified with Christ and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the Son of God, who loved me and gave himself for me. I do not set aside the grace of God, for if righteousness could be gained through the law, Christ died for nothing!"

The full rights of sons

Rory Dyer · 3 March 2024

What the gospel gives us is nothing short of the full rights of a first born son. Today Rory unpacks what this means for us in our day to day relationship with God.

The law in our hearts

Ryan Viljoen · 12 March 2024

I plead with you to live as I do in freedom from these things, for I have become like you Gentiles were – free from the law.

Who’s your Mama?

Rory Dyer · 24 March 2024

My dear children, for whom I am again in the pains of childbirth until Christ is formed in you. We are not children of the slave woman, but of the free woman.

Easy Yoke

Rory Dyer · 28 April 2024

For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.

Taking Sunday into Monday

Steven Dollenberg · 5 May 2024

As a community filled with big capacity leaders, influencers and culture creators, scripture calls us to have a biblical view of work as a calling, worship, and service.

The blood or the blade

Steven Dollenberg · 19 May 2024

If you are counting on circumcision to make you right with God, then Christ will be of no benefit to you.

Faith in the Blood

Rory Dyer · 26 May 2024

For in Christ Jesus neither circumcision nor uncircumcision has any value. The only thing that counts is faith expressing itself through love.

Freedom Fighter

Rory Dyer · 2 June 2024

You, my brothers, were called to be free. But do not use your freedom to indulge the sinful nature ; rather, serve one another in love.

Impelled by the Spirit

Steven Dollenberg · 9 June 2024

Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit.
